Hola, Greetings from Japan!
I am one of the person who love spending my time in Japanese Restaurant, especially in Central Jakarta Area. "Having brunch in Saturday" is special time for me that i do once in a while. I will dress up, find a free weekend time and start choose where i want to go. For this time, i literally didn't set any expectation to begin with.
As I’ve said before on my FIRST POST "PERFECT EVENING IN JAPANESE RESTAURANT", Strolling alone is REALLY FUN!! Because your schedule will be flexible and you can arrange the itinerary based on your interest or your mood. But on the other side, it also can be really CHALLENGING especially if you are meet some of people who don't understand what are you talking about ? :p Because i am unique.
If you ask me to name my favorite brunch place with quite ambience in Jakarta then i would have some of my favorite Japanese Restaurant. Then i would recommend you
Sushi Matsu.
First of all let's make it clear that are 2 Brands that use Sushi Matsu as their name. The first one is located in BSD that established since 2015, And the second one has 2 Branches, located in Central Jakarta and then expand to South Jakarta Area.

Enough the talk about the place, now we'll discuss about the Food :)
It has Japanese Touch and vibe to it, it makes me feel comfortable to choose what kind of dishes that i want.
Salmon Salad IDR 58K
Half Spicy Tuna Cheese Roll IDR 48K
Located in front of Cemara Hotel, Wahid Hasyim, Central Jakarta, and usually the inside of the space, the interior designer usually design everything, it have that quiet ambience that usually we found in Japan and they have simple design with wooden furniture for their interior and exterior.
They have wide selections of sushi, start from regular one like Half Spicy Tuna Cheese Roll, and some sushi that serve in unique way like Gyuta Don, Inari, etc. This is my first visit and I gotta say that they were good enough with their quality to serve the Japanese taste. Their sushi might be the safest options for their sushi service but i would gladly recommend the other salad menus for your choice of food: Salmon Salad with Wafu Dressing! Both are the perfect combination, the lemon flavor seems to work very well with their raw salmon slice.
Their Spicy Tuna Cheese Roll was the fresh one, it's thick, big bites, yet again with fresh aftertaste and good balance. On the other hands, Salad is my style brunch menu in, first of all: the wonderful presentation, pop and packed but i'm liked. So many elements here, but let's start with french fries topping that are above the Salad, it's caught little bit my attention because the taste is crisp, delicious, then u'll have many pieces of salmon-meat in a square shape, fresh vegetables that are left well arranged under the salmon-meat. Absolutely love this menu, really nothing bad to say, i'm satisfied with my choice of dressing combination between the other two.
What's ur call anyway?
I didn't try all of their variants sushi and only this particular, but this was really delicious and fresh that i've told before. I can tell they're using a generous amount of fresh vegetables, fresh didn't bloat me out. All the food i ordered for myself and obviously made my stomach full of pleasure.
Anyway, for the last one of my experience paling populer di Sushi Matsu ini terkenal dengan menu sushi nya yang dibuat langsung oleh para chef yang berasal dari negara Jepang.
Hmm, i bet the main reason you want to visit this place would be because of the decoration right? Anyone can easily agree that the Japanese Food Taste is main selling point but surprisingly not the service is not so good.
Overall, considering the great flavor and generous portion, i must say that Sushi Matsu is affordable! This place is such a quite ambience, if you happen to be inCentral Jakarta area, give it a try. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as much as we did, let’s strolling around!
